Every detail in this yard was designed to take advantage of our client’s incredible view.
From the layout and features we added, to the material choices and the lighting.
It’s all designed to make their view of rolling Tennessee hills even more impressive.
They had this massive, empty lot and didn’t really know how to make the best use of their space.
Here’s how we created an elegant, luxury yard for them that is as impressive as the view.

Before & After: A Tennessee Transformation

How do you design a yard that connects a home with nature? That’s exactly what we wanted to solve for our clients with this design. The space started out as an empty, muddy field with a stunning view.
Now, you can’t even recognize the yard because we turned that empty lot into a backyard resort.
Every detail of the yard was designed to reflect the natural beauty of these surroundings and extend our client’s living space – outdoors.
Creating A Luxury Outdoor Living Space

This home is located in the Rolling Hills of Tennessee, so the design needed to seamlessly fit with the surroundings. And transition from indoors to outdoors. We did this by creating a layout that draws your eye out the doors and through the yard, to the beautiful view.
Instead of making the pool the focal point, or the covered patio, we created a luxury space that utilized the pool, lounge areas, and patio to highlight the view as the focal point.
Designing For A Colder Cimate

Another major consideration in this yard is the climate of our client’s home location. They live in Tennessee, and that means their yard needs to work for them in all four seasons. We created an outdoor living room so that our clients can enjoy being outside, even when the weather is cooler.
It’s covered for full shade, rain, or wind protection. And is equipped with heaters and fans to work for any weather.
Another thing we did is to strategically locate the jacuzzi right next to the home and outdoor living space.
There’s nothing worse than having to walk in the freezing cold back and forth from the spa. Placing it near the door makes the experience a lot more enjoyable – and practical for colder weather.
